Volunteer Opportunities
The BMA is currently looking for voluteers to fill the following positions.
- BMA Board and Committee Members
BMA is always looking for new leadership on our Board and our Committees... We are a rapidly evolving organization and we need passionate people guiding our course. We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month in the REI Community Room at 5:30PM. Contact President Mike Barrow for more info. - Public Policy Advocate or Political Advocates
If you are interested we have apprentice programs and will help provide training. - Social Ride Leaders
We are looking for people to lead BMA sponsored rides this summer. We would like to cater to all ability levels so we need people willing to lead beginner, intermediate, or expert level rides. These group rides will support the BMA by adding a social component to the organization, encouraging advocacy and hopefully new membership. The rides should be a fun way to get together with like-minded mountain bikers and share your favorite trails. You need not commit to leading more than one ride. Contact Dave Wert at david@cescolorado.com ??? to work out the details. - Trail Crew Leaders
BMA needs Crew Leaders for trailwork events this summer. If you are interested we have apprentice programs and will help provide crewleader training. - Trail Project Coordinators
BMA needs project coordinators for individual trail projects. Project coordinators will work closely with BMA's board and crewleaders to organize and execute a trail work session. - Project Hosts
Can't dig in the dirt right now? Don't like to swing a pick? BMA has opportunities for you to participate in our trail work projects without getting dirty. We are looking for individuals who like to socialize and to be outside. Project Hosts are responsible for setting up and tearing down the project, signing in volunteers, directing volunteers to the site and getting the swag organized for when they come back down at the end of the project. We need someone who can stay the duration of the project at the staging area and take care of the details at the beginning and end of the project. The in between time can be spent catching some rays or reading a book or visiting with other hosts. If this sounds like something you'd like to contribute, we'd love to sign you up. Check out the Event List today. - Boulder Mountain Bike Patrol
The Boulder Mountain Bike Patrol is ramping up for the summer season. There's more information on the Bike Patrol Web Page
